Press Release — FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The U.S. Army Medical Materiel Development Activity's Warfighter Expeditionary Medicine and Treatment Project Management Office has released a full and open solicitation for the Ultrasound Field Portable (USFP) program, available through Aug. 14, 2023.

This solicitation, Request for Prototype Proposals, is open to private sector ultrasound technology development organizations. WEMT PMO is currently working to develop a handheld, portable ultrasound device suitable for military deployment to far-forward, austere operational environments.

USAMMDA will award multiple Other Transaction Authority agreements to qualifying vendors for participation in USFP testing and development in partnership with WEMT PMO. Following operational and environmental testing, a single industry partner will be selected for a follow-on award for future USFP development.
